Position Overview

Friendship Circle is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and versatile Operations & Marketing Associate to work directly alongside the CEO in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

This is a unique role for someone who is equally comfortable with marketing, administration, community outreach, and relationship-building. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, people-friendly, and not afraid to roll up their sleeves — whether that means building a Canva flyer, making a cold call, supporting families, or representing Friendship Circle at an event.

This is a full-time position with significant opportunity for growth and leadership.
Location: Fox Point, WI | In-Person
Compensation: $20–$30 per hour, depending on experience
Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision and 10 PTO days.


Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Outreach

  • Create marketing materials using tools like Canva (flyers, social media, email graphics)
  • Assist with email campaigns, social media, and promotional efforts
  • Conduct outreach including phone calls and relationship-building with community partners
  • Represent Friendship Circle at resource fairs, events, and community booths (including occasional evenings/Sundays about 8-10 times a year)

Operations & Administrative Support

  • Provide high-level support to the CEO including scheduling, follow-ups, and task tracking
  • Maintain organized systems for documents, spreadsheets, and internal workflows
  • Assist with general communications, emails, and coordination across programs
  • Help ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently

Program Support (Employment Training Program)

  • Manage and track invoicing for IRIS and Community Care
  • Support families in navigating and accessing government funding
  • Maintain accurate participant records and program documentation
  • Assist with logistics and coordination for program activities

Development & Organizational Support

  • Assist with donor outreach, tracking, and communications
  • Support fundraising efforts and campaigns (including events like Bike4Friendship)
  • Help maintain donor and sponsor relationships through organized follow-up and engagement

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable balancing multiple roles and shifting priorities
  • Confident communicator — both written and verbal (including phone outreach)
  • Tech-savvy (Google Workspace, spreadsheets, Canva, CRM systems preferred)
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through
  • Positive, flexible, and team-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to occasionally work evenings or Sundays for events
  • Passion for the mission of supporting individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges
