Job Title: Art Studio Instructor (Birthday Parties & Open Art)
Location: Friendship Art Studio – Milwaukee, WI
Hours: Primarily Sundays, with limited prep work during the week
Pay: $15–$28/hour, depending on experience

Our studio is part of the Friendship Circle of Wisconsin, a nonprofit organization supporting children and adults with disabilities and creating inclusive experiences for all.
Position Overview:
We’re looking for an energetic, personable Art Studio Instructor to lead Sunday birthday parties and Open Art sessions at the Friendship Art Studio. The ideal candidate has a big personality, loves working with kids, and thrives in a fast-paced, joyful environment. You'll bring creativity and structure to each session, helping children feel empowered through art.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead birthday parties and Open Art sessions on Sundays

Prepare and organize materials in advance for weekly art activities

Guide children (typically ages 3–10) through engaging art projects

Provide a fun, supportive, and inclusive experience for all participants

Maintain a clean and organized art studio space

Communicate with families and assist with setup and cleanup of events

Occasionally assist with midweek prep work (flexible hours)
Qualifications:

Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings

Strong art/craft skills and ability to adapt projects for different age groups

Outgoing, enthusiastic, and confident leading groups of children

Dependable, organized, and proactive with a positive attitude

Weekend availability (primarily Sundays); flexibility for weekday prep

CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
Compensation:
$15–$28/hour based on experience and qualifications
