As a board member, you will gain leadership experience, build your resume, and receive references to support future opportunities. Members may also earn awards, attend a leadership trip at the end of the school year, and meet inspiring community leaders!

Be a leader among fellow volunteers by spreading enthusiasm, excitement, and the FC message to teens and the broader community whenever possible.Promote volunteer involvement within your school and help support volunteer engagement efforts. This may include bringing FC to your school in various capacities, organizing volunteer packages and assisting with outreach initiatives or Volunteer Focused events.Participate in larger scale community events LIke the Bike4Friendship, One Thing I Wish You Knew etcCreate two "Capstone Projects" that you are passionate about. Plan it from beginning to end (with our advisors and a group) in the theme of bettering the lives of people with disabilities & mental health struggles.As a leader, be involved in the details of running a non profit/company by participating in a fundraiser of your choosing or FC's larger fundraisers throughout the year like the Charidy Match Campaign and The Bike4FriendshipBoard members should be involved with Friendship Circle for at least a yearBoard members are required to respond to texting groups or emails within 24 hours or less.Every board member is required to be involved with volunteering at Friendship Circle either in friends@home or by volunteering twice a month minimum

There will be 2 board meetings each month from September to May.

Each month includes:
- 1 in-person meeting
- 1 Zoom meeting
The full meeting schedule will be shared at the start of the school year.
Attendance will be recorded at every meeting.
During the school year, you are allowed to miss:
- 2 meetings total (either in person or via zoom)
If a board member misses a meeting, you are responsible for catching up on what was missed.
Zoom meetings will be done with cameras on
If more than 5 meetings are missed, it can be grounds for dismissal of the board.
